yesterday was Friday, and nobody studies on Friday!
and contrary to popular belief, I have attempted to study over the past few days. HAHAHA. and yesterday was only ONE day off.
left the house early early to meet the mad Madeleine. Jurong Point is at Boon Lay, who would've thought? lucky I asked first. anyway, she turned up an hour late. HAHAHA. women.
ex-GV Vivo manager, currently GV Jurong Point manager Ryan had graciously helped us to book tickets for Slumdog Millionaire.

yeah, he paid for them. using credit card, not VIP pass. HAHA. he used his VIP pass for some other Vivo staff, he said. guilty siolz. now need to pay him back. HAHAHA. student price. [:
Slumdog Millionaire - very very very much worth the watch. 4.5 out of 5.
the movie basically follows how a man from not-so-privileged parts of India had to dig into his memories to win the top prize in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and ultimately find his lurrrve. unique, and very very satisfactory. doesn't hurt that there's some Bollywood-style dancing at the end credits. the rest of it is just brilliance, very creative writing, thought-provoking and thoroughly enjoyable.
Jurong Point is enormous, BTW. but the GV is tiny. hehe.
then we headed down to good ol' Vivo to watch Benjamin Button (finally).
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - long but meaningful. don't forget to bring your brain. 3 out of 5.
it is BY NO MEANS draggy. the morals it attempts to teach are well-put across and heartwarming, despite of the otherwise sad storyline. still, the events sequences are a bit illogical. can't put my finger on it. and what can I say, Mr. Brad Pitt is one of the least-talented, only-used-for-eye-candy actors out there. how the hell did he get that Academy Award nomination for Best Actor? or I may be a tad biased LOL.

to start, I thank God that Valentine's Day fell on a Saturday. because then it just emphasised in my mind the importance of love between good friends as well, not just love between lovers (though I guess that's great too). at this moment, the love in my caregroup and brothers and sisters in church and other friends, I treasure more than anything else. last but not least, Jesus was the greatest lover to ever walk this Earth. HAHA machiam gay. but it's true, and I shall not be afraid to say it: nobody loves me more than Jesus. and to everyone else, thank you all for bearing with me. [: EVEN I CAN'T STAND ME SOMETIMES.
haven't been working for so long, and it seems the place was gotten even more politics-ridden and well, the work environment is degrading even further. I think we could do without the sad love stories, gossip-mongering, secret-spreading and power-happiness, don't you? lots of good friends are starting to leave, for government chalets are what-not, so I guess it'll be my turn soon.
oh, and NOBODY should think of themselves as popular enough to have a number of suitors to choose from. that is just self-aggrandising, disgusting, and you're not good enough for ANYBODY. _this is to nobody in particular, tyvm. :)_

I'm getting too good at staying up late for my own good. I'd like stay up till 4 each night and sleep till I wake up, which thanks to my damn biological clock, is always before 1030. so I'm like a wreck every morning lah. but it's getting harder to sleep when I want to, and I always end up in front of the lappie, doing random, essentially unproductive things. >.>
losing interest in a lot of things too. and I fear one day, it'll become the days I spent without God again.
please Lord, take me back. |

has anyone been reading? hahaha. if so, I apologise for not updating.
happy Cheena New Year to all! hope takings (hehe) are good this year. [:
as usual, my family woke up late (I think it's the fourth year in a row) and arrived at my grandma's late, so we missed the first wave of relatives, about 3 families. ]: sad.
more takings tomorrow. hehee. but no lah, the gambling and non-alcoholic sparkling juice and stuff is great too, and I also enjoy seeing distant relatives. there's this distant cousin I particularly enjoy seeing. he's rather -slow-, but with an awesome heart. I remember trying to teach him cheena chess one year, and he thought all pieces moved in L-shapes. but he's really a great guy. can't wait to see him tomorrow, IF we don't turn up too late again LOL.
working hard now for an $88 incentive. need to clock 35 hours over 6 days. seems big, but $88 is essentially 2 to 3 days' pay lah. and you can't be late or absent for any reason. so some have already been late and lost it. seems like a lot of trouble for nothing leh. but I don't care. need the money for camp, and whatever. HAHA. wanna treat G2 to something too, up to my creativity. and I wanna buy gifts for people for once. I KNOW who I haven't gotten gifts for, and trust me, they're coming. [:
just wishing school didn't have to re-open, and spoil everything.
